Introduction
Due to our current class topic: love sonnets and poem, we read several of Shakespeare's famous sonnets and other modern poems. Since we were now more familiar with poetry, our class decided to give our own inspiration a try and write poems by ourselves.
The following poems are all "handmade" and we are proud and happy to be able to present them to you! |
Best time of life?!
They are different but equal,
They are cruel but friendly.
It is new but broken,
It is a circus but serious.
They are authoritarian but disrespected,
They disappoint but inspire.
It means gaining but losing,
It means communication but violence.
One feels love but hatred,
One feels alone but understood,
One feels thankful but jealous.
The best but most hated time of life?!

Sometimes I feel
Or is it a lie? that
Life tastes bitter
In my kingdom
Timid thougths of loneliness reign but
Upon my breast it sounds insane
Deep in myself it says
End |
Times are changing
From day to day
I think of you,
my only dream
to be with you
I can't ignore you
I wish I could
I can' forget you,
but I think I should
It is over now
I have another one,
she can show me how
cause she's the better one

Deceitful ambitions
The eternal search for happiness,
The search for something better,
The despaired attempts
To be more than you are.
Why?
What happened?
Where will it lead you?
Don't you see it?
It leads you away,
Away from me,
From all the people that love you,
And who you once loved.
But you are gone,
And our past, present and future with you.
My only hope?
To be never hurt by you again.
The future it mine,
And it has no room for you!

How did it begin?
I didn't know
I just heard him
In a place I have to show
His voice I was searching for
Thought, I'll never find it anymore
Life isn't fair, said my friend
Soon it will have an end
I fell asleep and didn't awake
Until light flooded the room
In the place I have shown
Where pain and suffering are unknown
Silence was the first I heard
Life still wasn't fair
And his voice was gone for ever

| Life is taken away
There is a little koala bear
Aimlessly running around.
There is thunder above him,
above him a cloud.
Its alone,
doesn't know where to go
He lost his orientation,
he lost the flow.
There is a little monkey
Aimlessly running around.
It seems if its running,
beyond the bound.
The bound is gone,
someone took it away.
Needed was just a monster,
in mid of may.
There is a little boy
Aimlessly running around.
He asks his dad
why his playhouse did go.
It was built next to the monkey
A little bit low.
Boy you have to understand
it has to be like that.
There has happened a plot tied in a knot.

unsuccessful communication
throwing her mobile phone
into a mirror,
an uncountable multitude of splinters
splits life
to tiny pieces;
with one reflection that catches the eye:
of someone opening the door
for a white impersonal letter
waiting
on the doorstep.
he reads without a wince,
motionless, the tree stands still
in stormy weather
until finally the wind
tears impersonality apart:
a tiny piece of paper
lands in front of a restaurant,
witness
of red wine in midair
about to soak a man's face.
outraged and angry
the wind brings rain
to mingle with the woman's
quick escape:
at home
she opens the door.
wind
overtakes peace and security,
forcefully draws a tear
but can't drown out
the noise
of crushing glass with every step.
an uncountable multitude of splinters
covers life
with no reflection:
just the possibility of
waiting
in the middle of it all
to face the storm,
that gets in through a broken window.

Unsuccessful communication
A sudden noise, the mobile phone rings,
She throws it against the wall to eliminate the disturbance.
By looking at the splinters of the broken mirror
She recognizes the last day in the reflection:
A melodious door bell rang
He was on his way down while singing a song
A letter on the doorstep asked for opening
By reading, the emotions drained from his face
Suddenly the wind took the letter to a different place:
In front of a restaurant's window
Observation of a nice but troubled couple
The woman threw red wine into her lover's face
With tears in her eyes, she finally left this place:
Still crying, she opened the door of her home
The crunching splinters under her feet made a strange noise
But she just thought of being alone
Suddenly she sees her broken mirror on the floor
And realizes that it will never be as before.

Buzz cut
The sergeant walked slowly
Through our ranks
With a loud but cool voice
He said
Now you all are yourself
Being the one you are
But soon you will be
Bravo company
Form ranks of four
March down the square
To the great white building
Over there
We did as he said
Being the ones we are
An individual
Following orders
The first group of four went in
But didn't come out again
The second group of four went in
But didn't come out again
Than it was our turn
He yelled like a raging boar
Move it fagots
You're the next group of four
|
We went in, set down in a chair
And the ground was covered with hair
A men stood behind me
Looking at another one
And I heard the other man say
Regulations all the way
Clippers started buzzing
Hair started falling down
Looking at the ground
I saw it was my own
We walked out again
Head naked as it could be
The sergeant looked at us
Looked at me
Now your not yourself
Not being the one you are
As you can see
Now you're all bravo company
